DeSantis has not produced an update to his plans to reopen the Vacation Rental industry in Central Florida.  As things stand,  Florida is currently sitting in Phase 1 and awaiting further updates.

​The one thing that is pretty certain is that even when we are ‘back to normal’ the way we all run our businesses is going to have to change.

To meet with the new criteria, additional cleaning will be required – which takes longer and costs more money.   There will also be a requirement to leave 72 hours between bookings.

Please click here to download the latest and most relevant documentation, produced for Vacation Rental Managers, regarding the rules around cleaning.   Our Property Management team in Florida are meeting with the cleaners to go through the changes to meet this new requirement, which include a complete revamp of the cleaning checklist.

We strongly recommend that, once your Property Managers have implemented the necessary changes, you put a Caveat in your Terms & Conditions of booking to protect yourselves and mitigate any litigation that my arise from people contracting the virus whilst in Florida.

Please remember that the US is the country of litigation.  Property Managers will ensure that they are not open for being sued and it will be necessary for you to factor in the new cleaning costs and confirm your acceptance to them.
